The Clubhouse Hornet Sailing Club is very privileged to have a delightful clubhouse offering members and their guests a very warm and welcoming ambience set in an historic building built in the 1940s . It was the original wardroom for HMS Hornet when the site was the base for the Fast Patrol Craft of the Coastal Defence Forces. Club House Bar and Lounge Boasting a very modern galley and restaurant, the House Team is proficient at producing interesting menus, usually enhanced at weekends, with a reduced menu during the mid week period. Prices are very fair and are certainly competitive when compared like for like with pubs and restaurants on the High Street. Table reservations are very welcome and can be made by direct line 02392 580935 hornetsupervisor@btconnect.com The pleasant and comfortable bar and lounge offer a selection of ales, wines and spirits at very reasonable prices. Groups and parties can be catered for in either or both of two function rooms when booked in advance, and both wedding receptions and birthday parties have been a regular feature over recent years. The club has a very busy social programme that includes Burns Night, The Commodore’s Dinner, Trafalgar Night Dinner and of course the Grand Christmas Dinner Dance that has become extremely popular over the years. Details of the social programme may be found on the social page of this website. Please do use your club and bring along your guests. See Club Brochure with facilities available here: Club facilities brochure As always there is a requirement for repairs and upkeep in and around the clubhouse and members are readily welcomed to spend a few hours in support of keeping our precious asset up to scratch.
